As part of NLC’s Women Empowerment Program, we organized a dedicated Exercise and Physical Fitness Training for over 100 women in Saldum village. Many women in rural Nepal suffer from chronic back pain, joint problems and fatigue caused by years of heavy physical labor — carrying heavy loads on mountain trails, farming on steep terraced fields, and doing household chores without modern conveniences.
The training programme included physiotherapy sessions, guided stretching exercises, pain management techniques, and daily fitness routines that women can practice at home. A First Aid & Health Camp was also organized alongside the training, providing basic medical check-ups and health awareness to the community.
The programme brought together local officials, NLC volunteers, and community members. Supplies and materials were distributed to schoolchildren and women, and the event was held at the local school building in front of the stunning Himalayan backdrop.
