Health Camp 2021

In October 2021, Nagarjun Learning Center (NLC) took a bold step to address the severe lack of healthcare access in the remote villages of Dhading district, Nepal. With the authorization and support of the Ministry of Health and Population and the local government, NLC organized its first-ever health camp in Saldum village, a three-day event held from October 3rd to 5th, 2021.

This initiative became a lifeline for over 600 villagers from surrounding hill communities—many of whom had never seen a doctor in their lives.

A Story That Touched Hearts

One unforgettable case involved a woman who arrived at the camp feeling seriously ill. Upon examination, doctors discovered that she was six months pregnant—a fact she was completely unaware of. Like many others in the region, she had never received prenatal care. Her story served as a powerful reminder of why this health camp was so essential.
